I've been looking around through newspapers, Craigslist, Ebay, and many other websites searching for VW buses. I would really love a 23 window bus but they are way too expensive. If I found like a 11 window bus is it possible to bring it into a shop and have them add windows too it? Or is it too expensive? Almost anything can be done but there is always a price. So I was wondering if anybody maybe knew anything about it. Maybe if you know someone that does stuff like this could I get the name of there company or shop and give them a call and ask a couple questions? Thanks, Tyler car insurance. Is this a good amplifier for my subwoofers? Is this a good amplifier for my subwoofers? Currently, this is my system: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/viewitem.php?id=21675&show_tab=1 The amp that I have right now (in above link) isn't supplying enough power to the subwoofers. Would this amp make much of a difference? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_21954_Kicker-ZX400.1-10ZX400.1.html If there's not a huge difference, then I think I'll just keep my current amp for now. (However, I really want more bass so I know that for sure in the future I will eventually upgrade everything when my budget is higher.) But for now, do you know of any other amps (that are in that price range of under $250) that will supply as much power as possible to the subwoofers without blowing them? And I don't want to sound stupid, but with my system, is the RMS that the amp is putting out split between the 2 subwoofers, or is that much going to each subwoofer? I know the peak power is 1200 watts for my subs but I heard that peak power means nothing and that I should avoid that. car insurance. Auto parts : Engine Tilter Dodge 2005. Equalizer Eagle 2006. Lincoln . How to Install SPALMost cars today come standard with power windows. However, it is possible to install power windows in a car that did not come with them installed. SPAL's do-it-yourself deluxe power window kit can be installed at home and keep you from having to crank a handle to get your vehicle's windows up and down. As long as the original crank system for the window is still in working condition, SPAL should work in just about any model of vehicle. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Phillips screwdriver Vehicle service manual Power drillSuggest EditsItem AddWhy is it necessary?Done Step by Step : 1 Remove the inside door panel on the side that you want to install the power window kit following the instructions in your vehicle's service manual. 2 Locate the window crank shaft using your vehicle's service manual. It looks like a rod sticking out of the door and should be near where the window crank was located on the removed panel. 3 Compare the provided gear adapters to the existing window crank shaft. Choose the one that fits the existing splines perfectly and slide it into place. It should not be loose or have any play. If it does, remove it and select a better-fitting adapter. 4 Compare the three secondary adapters to the new gear adapter. Slide the longest one that fits over the gear adapter. 5 Screw the two adapters together with the provided screw and a Phillips screwdriver. 6 Place the mounting bracket on the transmission with the crank shaft and adapters running through the large opening. Clip the assembly into place on the mounting bracket with the large o-ring. 7 Look for a large, open space in the door to mount the motor. Hold the removed door panel up to confirm that the space will remain open when the panel is replaced. 8 Place two brackets over the motor so that the large rings line up with the screw mounts on the motor. The arms of the brackets should face in opposite directions. Screw the brackets into place. 9 Hold the motor in place where you are going to mount it, then mark the area on the door that the screws will be mounted. Step by Step : 10 Drill a hole into the door using a bit the same size as the provided rubber grommet you want to mount the bracket to. Step by Step : 11 Insert the rubber grommet into the drilled hole. Screw the bracket into place. Step by Step : 12 Cross the cables running from the motor and loop them into place around the crank shaft adapters. Step by Step : 13 Replace the door panel. Attach the button kit to the area where the old crank was.
Lincoln . How to Replace a Window Regulator in a 2002 JeepThe window regulator in your 2002 Jeep is used to help fix the window in the frame. If the regulator becomes damaged you will no longer be able to securely open and close the window with the window controls. If this occurs you should look to open up the car door assembly in order to replace the regulator. You can pick up a replacement regulator from your local auto store. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Phillips-head screwdriver Wrench Window regulator Step by Step : 1 Locate the screws which are attached to the rubber trim around the edges of the window and the rear view wing mirror. Use a phillips-head screwdriver to remove the mounting screws on the trim. Use a trim stick to securely remove the trim from around the window. 2 Use a wrench to remove the mounting bolts attached to the the black plate which is fixed to the door. Lift the plate away from the door. This will give you access to the regulator. 3 Remove the bolts which fix the window pane to the window regulator. Disconnect the window pane from the regulator. Remove the bolts from the lower section of the regulator to remove it from the frame. Lift the regulator from the frame of the Jeep. 4 Insert a new window regulator in to the frame of the Jeep. Fix the regulator in place by securing the mounting bolts which are attached to the bottom of the regulator. 5 Reconnect the window pane to the regulator by securing them together with the hex bolts which connect the window to the door. Reattach the door assembly by following the removal steps in reverse. *You can find instructions for checking fuses in Chapter 12. If changing the bulb or fuse doesn't work, get someone to check the connection between the warning light and the brake; there may be a short in it. Checking Anti-Lock Brakes Anti-lock brake systems (ABS) vary from one vehicle to another, and most require no special maintenance. (Chapter 10 tells you how ABS brake systems work and how to operate them properly.) Manufacturers install an amber warning lamp in the instrument panel. Under normal circumstances, the amber light will go on briefly during engine startup and turn off in a short amount of time. If it goes on while you're on the road, the ABS system isn't working properly and your vehicle is using only the normal brake system. In this case, get the ABS repaired as soon as you can. BEfj If you want to test the operation of your anti-lock brakes, find an empty parking lot on a rainy day. While traveling on a slippery surface at about 30 mph, firmly press the brake pedal. You should hear some clicking and feel some pulsing of the brake pedal while the vehicle comes to a stop without sliding. If the warning lamp stays on, or you suspect that the ABS isn't working properly, take your vehicle to a professional who specializes in brake systems. Well, that's it. If you get in the habit of checking your brake system every 10,000 miles (and more frequently as they wear), you'll be able to stop worry 874

The right tires in the right condition can enhance your driving experience and make it safer. In fact, your brakes and your tires have a two-way relationship: Poor braking action results in increased tire wear, but properly balanced and aligned wheels and properly inflated tires in good condition can help stop your car up to 25 percent faster! There's also a strong correlation between tire inflation and tire wear. If your tires are underinflated, the outer treads wear out faster. If your tires are overinflated, the centers of the tread areas go. And if the wheels get out of alignment, your tires can wear out in as little as one day of hard driving! So to get more mileage from your tires, plus better braking action and a smoother, quieter ride, you ought to know a bit about buying, checking, and maintaining the tires on your vehicle. In this chapter, I tell you about the kinds of tires available. (You can buy different types and grades, and just as you wouldn't wear your finest shoes to the beach, you don't want to put the most expensive, long-lasting, high-speed radials on an old car that just goes back and forth to the shopping center.) I also tell you how to check your tires and how to "read" your treads for clues about how well your car is performing — and how well you're driving.
